Mohammad Ali Hamzeh’s Expertise Before 2011, my studies were mostly about Environmental geochemistry and heavy metal pollution of urban and industrial areas. I had also some research projects on coastal pollution and its effect on coastal ecosystems. After graduating from PhD, my research interests shifted to the reconstruction of Holocene paleoclimate, paleoenvironment and paleohydrology of Iran using a variety of proxies consisting of stable isotopes, geochemistry, sedimentology, the ecology of foraminifera, and its links with historical settlements. Most recently I am trying to focus on human-induced climate and environmental changes on the last centuries.
